2012 Northeast Regional Quidditch Tournament Saturday & Sunday, November 17 & 18 9am – 4:30pm Daily
ABOUT THE EVENT: College athletes from the Northeast Region will hold their Regional Tournament at Historic Fort Adams. Matches are played between two teams of seven players riding flying broomsticks, using four balls and six elevated goals. The Snitch is dressed in yellow with a tennis ball in a sock tucked into their waistband. Grab the tennis ball, snatch the snitch!
30 minute Guided Tours of Fort Adams will be offered every half hour from 10:00AM to 4:00PM
Quidditch World Cup V D-2 Finals RIT vs Purdue
Grab a chair and a blanket and come watch these college athletes as they compete in this tournament. It is sure to delight every one of all ages! Food and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
ABOUT QUIDDITCH: The sport has been adapted in the real world by the International Quidditch Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to “governing the sport of Quidditch and inspiring young people to lead physically active and socially engaged lives”. The first ever real-life Quidditch game was played on October 9, 2005 in Vermont.
